Ignite 2018 - One night. One pitch. One winner.

Amplify Ignite is a one-night-only, PhD pitch night, where up to twenty exceptional PhD students from across Australia have the opportunity to present to a live business audience for a chance to win funding for their research. As part of the program finalists have the opportunity to work with a professional performance coach and mentor in order to prepare their cutting edge idea for a 150 second live pitch.

In a time where research funding is scarce and significant research goes undiscovered, Ignite is designed to help bridge the communication gap between the world of academia and Australian business.

Ignite offers more than just a $5K grand prize for our winner. The competition gives students the opportunity to explore their research creativity, develop presentation skills and their confidence amongst peers, and experience the rush and spontaneity of pitching their research to a business audience.
